Solver Data Nodes

Solver data nodes are used to add global effects to the Carbon dynamic simulation.

A Carbon solver data node.

Being global to the simulation (affecting all objects) they should always be connected after your last object merge point, but can be connected before or after the Carbon Simulation node.

  • If a solver data node is not applied after a merge point but instead straight after an object, it will most likely be ignored depending on the order of the object connections to the Carbon Simulation node.
  • When connecting after the Carbon Simulation node, make sure to have the blue Display flag on the last node as otherwise Houdini will skip the evaluation of the solver data node.
