Carbon Objects Override¶
Description¶
The Carbon Objects Override node replaces up to three Carbon object’s geometries directly from inside the Carbon Simulation geometry stream.
This node is usually used from inside a Carbon Simulation Override network to replace modified objects’ geometry in conjunction with a Carbon Objects Geometry node.
Several of these nodes can be used in cascade to replace more than three objects’ geometries.
Note
These geometries must have the same matching path primitive attribute as the objects’ Carbon geometry they are replacing, as otherwise no replacement operation will happen. Use the Carbon Objects Geometry to extract and unpack the objects’ geometry from the stream. It will also set the path primitive attribute as required. Make sure this path primitive attribute is not removed in any of the changes made to the geometry.
Inputs¶
Input #1: Simulation Stream
A Carbon Simulation geometry stream composed of several packed primitives as created by the Carbon SOP object nodes such as the Carbon Cloth SOP node, or a merge of these objects.
Input #2: Object #1 Geometry
An unpacked geometry as extracted from a Carbon Objects Geometry node and modified as required.
Input #3: Object #2 Geometry
An unpacked geometry as extracted from a Carbon Objects Geometry node and modified as required.
Input #4: Object #3 Geometry
An unpacked geometry as extracted from a Carbon Objects Geometry node and modified as required.
Outputs¶
Output #1:
The new geometry stream with any matching objects’ geometry replaced.
